The Part 3 video of Day 1 of the Google Python Class below shows the introduction to some of the assignments and provides some helpful hints.
The first eight minutes of the video is a review of the dictionary data structure and may be helpful to you. The "U" as part of the open function for files is no longer utilized in Python 3. Also, the "," at the end of a print statement does not work in Python 3. Go here for the new way.
